My son-in-law is a university professor. He tells of the expectation among many students that having paid their fees, they are entitled to a degree whether they study or not. If they don’t get the degree, it is not their fault but inadequate lecturers. There have apparently been threats of legal action; he’s just waiting for one to actually get to court although preferably about another university!
