In response to Robert James: Who needs the Loony Left when Mrs May’s in charge?, Peter Evans wrote:
Whenever I see Mrs May in action, I’m reminded of Roger McGough’s poem:
I wanna be the leader
I wanna be the leader
Can I be the leader?
Can I? I can?
Promise? Promise?
Yippee I’m the leader
I’m the leader
OK what shall we do?
Quite the most useless ‘Conservative’ PM and ‘leader’ in living memory. ‘Getting the job done’ seems to involve no critical thought on her part about what the job at hand actually is and whose agenda of interests it serves. I suspect she can’t question why she is serving the unelected corporate intersectionalist-multiculturalist fourth estate because that agenda just seems like ‘reality’ to her.
It drives one to despair. I’m increasingly of the view that the greatest obstacle to the political project of conserving our liberties and the institutions and customs that enshrine them is the destruction of the useless and preposterously named Conservative Party. But when a bearded Leninist stands poised to bankrupt the economy and open the floodgates to mass immigration on an even greater scale than at present, we are faced with a choice between disaster and catastrophe.
