It seems to me we are seeing the rise of a new kind of right wing politics. It’s not the kind of ideology that wants to dominate Europe, to invade other countries, or impose its own ideology without regard for the people (that’s the job of the EU). It is defined more by its opposition to cultural Marxism and the desire not be overrun by the warped visions of a political elite who are seizing power for no other reason than they are able to.
The media, especially the BBC, have a knee-jerk, uninformed, un-analytical, attitude to this movement, preferring to compare it with tyrannical regimes of the past. Have they forgotten how tyrannical the Left can be? We see the same hysteria about groups like PEGIDA. The BBC ignores the fact that PEGIDA protests are peaceful events (until the Left wing extremists get involved).
The so-called “Far-Right” which is, in most cases, actually very moderate, is going to continue to grow. It will grow because people are feeling increasingly powerless to stop the influence of the cultural Marxists. Add to that the anti-democratic EU poaching sovereignty from its member states and the discontent across Europe will grow. There will be a growing demand from member states for autonomy. Even if Britain remains, others may decide to leave.
