In response to Professor David Paton: The inconvenient truth about compulsory sex education, TheStoneMan wrote:
‘Now this does not mean there is no place for sex education in schools.’ Really? When I went to school the only ‘sex education’ we got was a single lesson in biology on the reproductive process. My ‘education’ was left, in my opinion quite rightly, to my parents. So, school is no place for sex education. It is counter-productive as it reduces the ‘fear’. Fear for under-16’s is a good thing, I believe, for them to have.
