In response to Kathy Gyngell: Guilty – of giving sound safety advice to women

Bravo, Kathy. It took courage to write this. The Sisterhood despises women who take issue with their dogmas.
Yet again, we see the sinister power of the Woke-Feminist Outrage Industry. It put me in mind of mafia ‘protection rackets’ in USA, which would go something like this:
This is a nice pizza parlour you have here. It would be such a pity if it were to burn down, or if someone broke in and shattered your kneecaps with a baseball bat in the middle of the night. If you want to avoid terrible things like that, we can protect you for a regular fee.
The point, of course, is that this was no altruistic offer of protection, but a clear and menacing threat: refuse our ‘offer’ and the terrible things we described will happen, because we’ll do them to you.
The Intersectionalist Outrage Industry (and I include positively satanic, massively-funded defamation-and-destruction groups like the ruthlessly defaming Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Centre in the US, and their counterpart, Hope Not Hate, on this side of the pond) borrow heavily from this. Their ‘altruistic offer’ goes something like this:
This is a nice police force/chain of coffee shops/beauty parlour you have here. It would be a terrible shame if its reputation were irretrievably ruined by, say, a furious Twitterstorm accusing you of being misogynist/racist/transphobic, and multiple mainstream news media stories doing the same. If you do exactly as we tell you, we can spare you such reputational destruction.
That the effect of ignoring the sane, practical advice of Nottingham Police will be to increase the likelihood of horrific assaults against defenceless women who naively believe that feminists have abolished depraved violence by shrieking about pervasive misogyny. Yup, venal, brutal rapists and muggers will really be intimated by that and mend their ways. They’ll stay at home sipping hot chocolate and watching Strictly Come Dancing.
The belief that social reform will eradicate human depravity, that denouncing sexual violence, that wearing preposterous pussy hats on wimmin’s marches, will make it go away, isn’t simply mistaken, it’s psychotic. Announcing that ‘Sexual violence against women is evil and must stop’ will not make it stop.
Most normal blokes – ie, most blokes – already believe this. The problem resides in the tiny minority of deranged and dangerous scumbags, who will not be deterred by feminist denunciation or even the prospect of severe penalty if apprehended, because they are slaves to their depraved impulses.
There are those of us who believe that no amount of social engineering can eradicate the problem of human evil. It will always be with us. The only thing we can do is accept that this is a real danger, and develop pragmatic strategies for avoiding it or minimising the chances of it happening to us. Just as the Nottingham Police advised.
Intersectionalist revolutionists believe that a feminist-Woke paradise can and should be engineered, so if you speak in a way that implies that that revolution has failed and always will fail, you must be silenced or reputationally damaged.
Feminists, as they invariably do, actively harm women, as this insane example demonstrates.
The great error of the Nottingham Police was to bow to the Intersectionalist mafia’s offer of protection with an ‘unreserved apology’ in the first place. It would have been better to say:
We don’t want women to be assaulted or murdered. We don’t want them to be raped on the way home by some evil-minded scoundrel. We want to help them prevent this from happening, because we know, at the sharp end, that evil-minded scoundrels are really and truly out there. Do you want to expose them to that danger, and if so, why?
