In response to Kathy Gyngell: Grammarphobia – why the establishment is so afraid of selective schools, Flaketime wrote:

One of the funniest lunatic Leftie responses against grammar schools is that the kids who don’t get in are consigned to the scrapheap.

This in reality condemns all of the teaching unions, especially the extreme Leftist NUT – now called NEU after the initials got a bit too close to describing their members.

Are teachers really so biased that they give up on kids who failed the 11+? There are plenty of success stories of those who did.
