Reader’s Comment: The ‘sovereignty Bill’ is a symptom of the problem

-

In response to Fox on Friday: Without our veto we are powerless to halt the European superstate, WFC wrote:

“The failure of the Government to bring forward the sovereignty Bill in Wednesday’s Queen’s Speech means that the European courts will continue to take precedence over the democratically elected government in Westminster.”

If Parliament is still sovereign, it doesn’t need a Bill to tell itself so.

If Parliament isn’t sovereign any more, then no Bill passed by Parliament can make it so.
