In response to Patrick Benham-Crosswell: Boris needs a Westminster chainsaw massacre,

I attended a Brexit Party meeting recently organised by Midlands MEPs who were refreshing in providing honest answers to the many questions from the audience including a number concerning working with the Tories. They told us that 4 Conservatives had voted for Ursula von der Leyen and engaged little with TBP – those who did told them that the party would not be required after 31/10 so they could disband because all those voters would come flocking back! The arrogance is quite unreal. Too many Leave constituencies have Tory MPs who have done anything and everything to obstruct Brexit. Why should Stourbridge – a swing constituency and Leave – re-elect the forever obstructive Margot James? Whilst candidates are selected on the basis of a central list and lib dem credentials, no real life experience and degrees in politics, nothing is going to change. Cummings is a strategist – TBP has a reach into Labour seats where the Tories have zero chance – he needs to work with that, not try to demolish the party. The Tories are still in the mindset of the party entitled to govern whatever – the game has changed and a failure to grasp this signals disappointment at the ballot box – fielding the same candidates who have previously betrayed manifestos and spent three years trying to overturn a legitimate vote does not secure my vote even if Boris does deliver Brexit.
