The answers to almost all your questions are now well known and researched. Fear of accusations of racism are recorded in all the many court cases and serious case reviews. Social Services as well as the police particularly failed those already under some sort of state protection and ‘Safeguarded’. Most perpetrators are working, in convenience shops, taxis, takeaways, all industries operating well into the night and allowing all sorts of exciting ‘treats’. The majority of perpetrators are not only of Pakistani heritage but from specific communities within Pakistan. The targeting of white girls (and boys) also is effective from hiding this from their own communities and yes, in communities where marriage is the norm and being single marks one out, they are married.
Despite the media and official silence, information is passed about the agencies involved. However there must be a Royal Commission/Inquiry to draw this together and expose the biggest (estimated 20,000 victims) failure of Child Protection since the much smaller ‘Satanic Abuse’ scandals. And it must be one of the biggest failures of policing. Time and again in court, evidence is given that the gang felt themselves ‘invulnerable’ or ‘untouchable’ because for years they were.
Still our leadership turns a blind eye because they can’t face the truth, and this is why cases will keep coming.
