I’m am not saying they should have supported Trump, that is not the point.
I’m saying that they have lost contact with the concerns and issues of a huge amount of the American public. Specifically, certain demographic groups.Instead of holding the establishment to account they have joined them. Instead of championing the citizens they chosen a path to ‘educate’ them. The ‘flyover states’ are a land of mystery to American mainstream media.
In fact if that social contact had been maintained Trump would probably not have had a shot. American journalists created Trump but not just in the last year. They have spent 20 years creating the vacuum he has stepped into.
