Multiculturalism means that British identity is merely one among others which are all equal regardless of their size in the population. If Miss Hussein was born here, she’s as British as Churchill or Jack the Ripper. Her name indicates immigrant origin but her worldview is not so different from that of British purebred young adults who say their first loyalty is to the EU rather than to a country they think is obsolete and whose history they despise. When we hold ourselves in contempt, why would anyone else disagree? Whether the education system is to blame or not, we have been complicit in the process since at least the 1960s when Powell’s expulsion from polite society officially immunised immigration from public debate. Everything we have done since has been to endorse and accommodate more immigration to the extent that it is now the explicit policy of the EU to replace its own population with immigrants. The fact that they’ve stopped lying about it is the signal that population replacement has reached critical mass and is unstoppable over the coming years. Miss Hussein is not only within her rights to trample British history and its heroes, she’d be daft not to do so; she has nothing to lose and much to gain. Just don’t blame Miss Hussein. We did this to ourselves, eyes wide open.
