In response to, Kathy Gyngell: Cameron put power and party before the nation’s true needs, DollarPound wrote:
If I undertook a project at work that had two possible outcomes, where one outcome involved fundamental change and the other involved things staying pretty much the same, but I failed completely to make any plan whatsoever for the first outcome – and not only that, instructed all my staff to make no plans either – then my manager would skin me alive, and rightly so.
If I subsequently resigned rather than clean up the mess caused by my failure to do even the most basic of management tasks – to plan responsibly – then everyone in my company would rightly regard me with utter contempt.
That is what history will do to Cameron.
