In response to Nick Booth: Brexit, the Millennium Bug and other end-of-the-world myths,
‘We’re not going to get our life-saving drugs. The Germans will refuse to sell us cars. We’ll never drink French wine again. Crime will surge. Racism will be rampant.’
Huge numbers of drugs are manufactured in the UK. It would be a good thing if more British people purchased cars made in the UK. It is depressing seeing how many people have been brainwashed by the Audi, BMW, VW, Mercedes adverts. I almost never drink French wine, as it’s hugely expensive. Australian, New Zealand and Californian wine have largely replaced French wine and it is very hard to find German wine. Crime is already rampant in many cities thanks to the importation of tribal warfare from third world countries. Racism? Well, inverted racism is certainly rampant.

March 30th is apparently going to be like The Walking Dead. With little food and all businesses having left the country, we’ll turn to looting, we’ll attack each other in the streets, we’ll resort to our animal instincts and before long, we’ll become zombies with only a handful of survivors ready to tackle the problem.
What, in reality, will probably happen is nothing will change and when I say nothing, I mean exactly that. We won’t leave on March 29th, there’ll be another extension and then another and then another and come the next election, the country will once again vote in a party who will drag this on for another four years.
I find that more depressing than the current scare stories.
