Readers’ comments: Boris should quit only if it leaves him better off

In response to The Conservative Woman: Should Boris resign? You vote!

Boris should resign only if he sees it as a good strategic move.

I don’t give a damn how many thighs he squeezed 20 years ago.

‘Charlotte Edwardes is currently in a relationship with ITV News political editor Robert Peston.’

Perhaps not a loyal Tory then?

Funny how accusations of sexual harassment from 20 years ago all pop up when it’s convenient for particular political causes, isn’t it?

Boris should not resign, he should force MPs to put their money where their mouth is and remove the government and try to form their own. Of course, they won’t be able to do so, and then a general election will be needed.

So many MPs have been calling for a general election almost constantly, particular a Mr J Corbyn, yet when the opportunity to have one presents itself they conveniently forget they’ve been demanding one for months and cower in the corner instead.

He should stick by his pledge to get us out by Halloween, deal or no deal, and if he doesn’t, we can vote the whole lot out.

Even if he sticks by his words and gets us out, we should still vote him out at the next election. As the article on male soldiers putting on make-up shows, our current government are insane progressives. Leave the EU and then get rid of the progressives. That works for me.
