In response to Kathy Gyngell: When will they realise that some families don’t actually want childcare?
Well, the state has already ripped fathers from most of the children of socio economic classes C1, C2, D and E. Single motherhood is glorified and subsidised. The divorce rape legal system and child maintenance service incentivises family breakdown. Marriage rates have collapsed as men have reacted to this by avoiding marriage altogether.
So now the state wants to encourage the children to be ripped from mothers. The implication is that if you are a stay-at-home mother, then there must be something wrong with you.
Children suffer from parental separation anxiety if away from their mothers for more than 12 hours a week under the age of 4. Facts that the state is not at all interested in. The life outcomes for the children of single mothers are shockingly bad. Facts that the state is not at all interested in.

Well said – this is why as a doctor with a medical degree and an additional first class honours degree in science, university and professional prizes and papers and presentations under my belt, I am treated like a piece of undertrodden for actively and willingly being a housewife and mother. I am always told my children need to be elsewhere – vetted by ignoramuses for my home education and antenatal choices and other rubbish. The nation is finished. I am shocked also that ‘training’ by a Sheila in a Per Una frilly complete with syrup-filled Costa coffee in hand now trumps the rule of law in health, education and social care.
