I work in central Manchester, close to Piccadilly Gardens. In my walk between Victoria station and the office (both directions) I will see at least ten beggars (I won’t describe them as homeless, many aren’t) and walk through at least two clouds of cannabis smoke. And that’s assuming that there isn’t an itinerant off his/her head on Spice.
Not convinced that ‘hate crime’ is the biggest problem around there . . .
