In response to Bruce Newsome: Boris’s Brexit energy wins it – for now,

Boris is our best immediate bet for a genuine Brexit. But beyond that I shall never again vote for this hollowed out, decayed party that hasn’t a clue what conservatism is about. I’m sticking with TBP.

I saw Al Johnson wants to have an amnesty for illegal immigrants . . . absolutely unbelievable stupidity. He could well prove to be an even bigger disaster then either May or Mr Slippery.

Boris in particular and the Conservatives in general now need to stop using the name Corbyn when they attack the opposition. Corbyn may be history very soon, replaced by someone as bad or even worse. Just say ‘Labour’. Otherwise there’s a real danger that if/when Corbyn is deposed, voters are lulled into a sense of false security and Boris’s attacks on Corbyn appear irrelevant. Go for Labour, not Corbyn.

Boris did pretty well last night. Not even the annoying Julie Etchingham could break his stride.

I still wouldn’t vote for him, though. I couldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.
