In response to David Fraser: EU’s unelected elite is the biggest threat to Britain since Hitler,

There is much I agree with in this article. The EU is certainly a deadly danger to this country and all those who remain in it. That is its mission.

However, the deadliest danger has always been the Marxist Fifth Column in this country which has set in motion the ongoing cultural revolution which is obliterating everything distinctive about it, including its ethnic character.

According to the article: ‘We developed a system with built-in checks and balances to ensure the sovereignty of the people.’

This is incorrect. The people aren’t sovereign under this system: only partially so. The real power lies not with them but with the political class. Where there is a ‘liberal consensus’ in the political class (actually a Cultural Marxist consensus), as there has been for many a long year, the people have no power. They are captives of the political class.

One can see that with the total control of the state and other media by Cultural Marxists and the imposition of a range of policies. Take immigration, for example. The people have never wanted it, certainly not the overwhelming majority of them that the major changes in the character of the country mass immigration has inflicted would warrant, yet they’ve had it for decades.

QED.

Have people forgotten or are/were not informed about the placement of Martin Selmayr? The EU Parliament voted that he should resign. He is still there though the Ombudsman said the placement was corrupt. The commission has just ignored the fact they rigged the placement.

Very good article but it overlooks one key fact, namely that there are now lots of people in Britain who actively dislike their own country. This is in stark contrast to the threat to us during WW2 when the country was overwhelmingly patriotic and collaboration with the enemy was rare. Now it is commonplace. Years of the state-sanctioned brainwashing that replaced genuine education has taught people that Britain was a uniquely awful place when in fact there is a great deal more to admire than dislike in our past. Unfortunately, this is lost on many people (especially the young) who receive such a view with astonishment and laughter. They have no attachment to our history or our institutions and appear entirely relaxed about everything being handed over to a foreign power. I am afraid that the Remainers are right to an extent. As the older, better-educated generation have their meeting with the Grim Reaper, the number of people who respect our past is going to decrease. I know some young people support Brexit but they are in the minority. This is why the Remain Establishment is kicking the can down the road, knowing that time is probably on their side.

There’s a story in today’s Sunday Times which seems to suggest that the EU is just one threat to this country.

Glastonbury bands’ message of love this summer: Kill a Tory.’

One of the bands playing promoted the message ‘Kill Tory scum and their children too’ on Facebook before it was hastily deleted. Another said Conservative voters have ‘blood on their hands’ and ‘execute the f*****g lot of them.’

Lovely people, eh? The EU are just one problem. I’d suggest the Left in the UK are a bigger worry.
