It seems to be a popular assumption (wishful thinking perhaps?) that rank and file policemen and women are still the same straight, reliable coppers they always were and that the Common Purpose-directed double standards, demonstrated daily by the British police ‘service’, is all the fault of university-educated senior officers, many of them third-wave feminists. But it’s hard to reconcile that narrative with the sheer visceral bully-boy zeal with which they scream their orders at inoffensive law-abiding citizens one minute, then start doing the conga with lawbreakers the next. From my observations, the really serious and worrying aspect of the ‘police problem’ is not that it goes all the way up to the top, but that it goes all the way down.

A few weeks of jail time would be a suitable reward for repeat vandalism and disruption. They won’t get a great reception from other prisoners, who generally are about as un-PC as you can get, and will see them as spoilt rich kids. I am a retired screw so have spent half my life in prison.
