She has this week mentioned speaking with people ‘on the doorstep’. Has anyone got any knowledge of where and when these conversations took place, and with whom? Heaven forbid the thought that this is a lie.

The responsibility for this disastrous situation lies squarely at the door of all the cowardly Conservative MPs who supported May in the confidence vote in December.
It was obvious by then (and indeed long before) that she was an extremely bad PM, with no judgement, no leadership skills, no personal skills, and that she was either deluded or devious and dishonest to boot.
It was obvious that if they allowed her to stay she would lead them from an already very bad position to an even worse one. It was obvious that anyone with a shred of decency would have resigned as soon as it became clear that her flagship policy (which turned out to be a surrender document misleadingly labelled the ‘Withdrawal Agreement’) was completely unacceptable and would be rejected by Parliament.
But they voted to keep her anyway. Shame on them, every single one. Unlike the rest of us hapless passengers on May’s Titanic, those MPs had the power to change course and steer away from the iceberg, but chose not to. They deserve to pay for this lack of insight and courage, and abject failure to act in the national interest, with their seats and political careers.
I, for one, sincerely hope that there are very few more instalments of this series.
Thanks for the video, Theresa. We are all very worried about you. Just tell us the ransom demands and we’ll get you out of there.
