In response to Ann Farmer: A first step back to sanity over sex-change children,

When I was a young girl I went to school with someone who spent the whole of her first three years in secondary (senior) school being a horse. Her mum and dad broke up and she was stuck in the middle. Being a horse I think was her way of coping. We just allowed her to do that. No one believed she really was a horse and we were not asked to affirm her as such. Now she is a top class photographer and has forgotten about the horse years.

For many trans if you scratch the surface you find a lot of abuse, other mental health issues and some very confused thinking.
