It makes you realise what a sinister state we live in and how quickly we have become like East Germany.
What’s frightening is the efficient and seamless way the state, so hopeless at providing decent schooling or health care, has adapted and grown to oppress and control us, and how we have surrendered our most basic freedoms without a second thought.
What sort of mentality and morality do the people have who write the rules and create the labyrinth we have to negotiate to do anything?
This is not a dystopian fantasy: it’s real.
