Those of you who follow American politics closely will be familiar with the once funny, now awful Saturday Night Live ‘cold open’. This is where various actors make fun of whichever conservative they wish. I highlighted before how Matt Damon threw Justice Brett Kavanaugh under the bus for daring to get angry about the fact that he was accused of disgusting crimes by an out-of-control Leftist media and refused to go down without a fight.
Only last week Saturday Night Live thought it would be hilarious to make fun of a former Navy Seal who lost an eye while serving his country.
During the final pre-election episode of Saturday Night Live, ‘comedian’ Pete Davidson stopped by the ‘Weekend Update’ desk to offer his ‘first impressions’ on several ‘gross’ candidates running for office in Tuesday’s midterms.
After cracking jokes about Florida Governor Rick Scott and US Representative Peter King (New York), Davidson took aim at Republican Dan Crenshaw, whose picture appeared on the screen.
‘You may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate in Texas and not a hitman in a porno movie,’ the comedian said, fighting back laughter. ‘I’m sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever.’
Crenshaw, who was running for Texas’s 2nd Congressional District, lost his right eye to an IED blast in Afghanistan during his third deployment in 2012. The Seal was deployed twice more overseas in 2014 and 2016 after regaining sight in his badly damaged left eye. That is classy, no, from SNL? War wounds are just hilarious to the Leftists. You will pleased to know Crenshaw won his election.
Anyway, these are just two of the episodes that highlight the huge cultural gap between those who watch SNL, barely able to contain their laughter, and the rest of America – the decent people out there – who don’t think being wrongly accused of rape or losing an eye in a IED blast make for fantastic Saturday night comedy. Most people with a conscience or any sense of decency would think this is unfunny, crass and mean-spirited. Don’t ever underestimate, dear reader, the nastiness and downright meanness of the Leftist.
So I stumbled upon a Saturday Night Live skit from five years ago. This was pre-MeToo, and it was an interesting watch, I can tell you.
I have no idea if this hilarious sketch caused any outrage from the feminists. It shows how all the boys at Hogwarts, Harry included, are lusting over Hermione’s ‘growth spurt’. Hermione is played by Lindsey Lohan, who leaves little to the imagination.
This sketch was a convenient way for the grown-ups at SNL openly to lust after Lohan’s adult figure – although it is worth remembering that Lohan is playing a teenage girl.
These same Leftists will tell us years later that any teenage boy who lusts after a teenage girl in a similar fashion is guilty of sexual harassment and is a product of ‘rape culture’. Indeed, SNL will, through the power of comedy and laughter, encourage millions of Americans to despise such a boy and his ‘toxic masculinity’. So not only are the ‘comedians’ at SNL cowards who openly mock a war hero, but they are a bunch of despicable hypocrites to boot.
That is the thing about the internet. People might forget how awful Leftist comedy is, but the internet never does.
