In response to Michael St George: Theresa May, the leader who can’t lead, must go, wiggiatlarge wrote:
It doesn’t say a lot for the rotten state of politics in this country, and elsewhere for that matter, that you look at the opposition front bench and cannot see a scintilla of quality in any of them and then look at the Tories and simply ask yourself what the hell is going on.
They appear moribund, the Labour party makes endless gaffes and unsupported claims, has a never-ending queue of people willing to be called out as anti-Semites and the Conservative response is nada. I myself have a Brexiteer MP, but you would never know as he has said absolutely nothing on the subject since the referendum.
Even at this pivotal stage of Brexit negotiations, the majority are looking after their safe seats, no one is seriously contemplating asking the obvious questions or rocking the boat. The time for all that is well past – a Guy Fawkes moment would probably be the only way you would get any of the incumbents of the HoC to do anything for the country instead of themselves.
May was useless at the Home Office and has simply continued in the same vein in No 10 – she has to go.
