IS THE tide beginning to turn against the transgender cult? The Times reported on Saturday that ‘schools will no longer be breaking the law if they refuse to refer to children by their chosen name or gender, Britain’s equalities watchdog has ruled’.
In a victory for truth, common sense and normal parents, the Equality and Human Rights Commission has deleted previous guidance which said that failing to refer to a female pupil by her ‘adopted male name’ and call her a boy would be direct discrimination. The Commission had also added that if teachers carried on referring to a girl ‘who wanted to be a boy’ as a girl that would be direct gender reassignment discrimination.
Thankfully the EHRC never issued guidance to nursery teachers on how they should handle little girls who demanded that ‘they wanted to be a princess’ or indeed that they wanted their sweeties right now because they were a princess. Giving into toddler tantrums was presumably deemed outside their remit. Not that it ever stopped the ECHR giving into the toddler tantrums of the transgender terror lobby who demand that society from doctors and midwives to teachers and parents go along with their warped and demented view that people can change sex at will.
Happily, reality seems to have hit the ECHR, an advisory body and not a court of law, in the face and they have made a U-turn. The Times reports that the guidance from the ECHR ‘makes clear for the first time that schools are not necessarily required to follow the wishes of a pupil who wants to be treated as a member of the opposite sex’. It has also clarified that ‘sex’ is binary and ‘determined by what is recorded on [a pupil’s] birth certificate’. The ECHR added that schools are legally obliged to provide separate changing rooms for boys and girls based on the sex of their birth. So that’s hard luck for the sex perverts.
Unfortunately, ‘gender reassignment’ remains a protected characteristic under the Equalities Act, and the ECHR added that ‘schools must consider how they justify and consistently apply their policies to avoid any risk of indirect discrimination’.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in a court of law. But it is a small step on the road to common sense.
We can only hope that schools will listen to the Equality and Human Rights Commission and not the army of self-appointed rainbow Stasi who seek to control not only our language in demanding that we ‘respect’ the pronouns of the gender confused and narcissists but also seek to control our thoughts.
I respect the truth, I respect reality and I don’t lie to children. Schools should never have gone along with this fantasy and dangerous transgender cult and colluded with the delusion that girls can become boys and boys can become girls.
If a child is suffering from gender dysphoria they should be treated accordingly, and avenues should be explored where their thoughts can align with the reality of their body – male or female. The political idea that their bodies should be mutilated to be aligned with the dysphoria was and is a monstrous abuse of the bodily integrity and dignity of confused children.
