IT WAS succour for the soul! Getting his just deserts for once, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was hammered in the EU Parliament on Thursday by the brilliant German MEP Christina Anderson. She told him: ‘You are a disgrace to any democracy. Please spare us your presence.’
It would have been more appropriate, she said, for Mr Trudeau to address the Brussels Parliament under Article 144, which was specifically designed to debate violations of human rights and democracy and the rule of law, which is clearly the case with Mr Trudeau.
She shames our British establishment who uncritically welcomed this smiling autocrat earlier this month.
