Tamara Chabe: The Cologne outrage is another reason for quitting the EU

The sexual assaults in Cologne, Germany have illustrated the immense dangers that open borders, naive refugee and asylum policies, and mass immigration pose to women’s safety.

Over 150+ women have reported being sexually assaulted during New Year Eve celebrations by men of Arab and North African appearance, including two reported cases of rape. Similar reports have also surfaced in other European countries, including Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.

What’s so frustrating and deeply upsetting about this story is that European Union elites so overlooked women’s safety when formulating the response to the refugee crisis.

EU elites, left wing feminists, metropolitan elites, and even some sections of the mainstream Church took a very utopian and idealistic approach to the refugee crisis, and their inability to take a common-sense approach is going to cause much misery, danger, and heartache for women, gays, young white working class girls, and also ethnic minorities – as the crisis is likely to result in worsening race relations caused by suspicion and mistrust – across Europe. Big business and the corporatists only considered profits and not much else.

Sweden is the number one rape capital of Europe and that fact has received remarkably little attention in the mainstream media. A report by the Gatestone Institute says, “Forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent crime has increased by 300 per cent and rapes by 1,472 per cent.”

Sweden has taken in large numbers of Muslim refugees and asylum seekers.

The situation in Sweden makes Angela Merkel’s inability to anticipate the risks, as well as her lack of perceptiveness, even more startling.

Importing and permitting unrestricted flows of refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers from countries, regions, and cultures where women are treated as second class citizens, and in an extremely misogynistic manner, is a terrible idea.

Left wing third-wave feminists have given the matter very little attention. We hear a lot from them about Donald Trump but silence about the events in Cologne and the high rape statistics in Sweden.

I suspect that the reason why left wing feminists are mostly silent is because It challenges their ideals and orthodoxies, political correctness, and a fear of offending the demographic responsible for the vast majority of rapes.

Leftist feminists simply don’t understand that just because Muslims tend to vote for leftist political parties that should not be taken as a sign that Islam and left wing feminism can coexist comfortably.

All the evidence shows that Islam and radical left wing feminism don’t mix. In the Middle East, the countries where women have some rights and can dress in western style clothing tend to be in countries ruled by secular dictators. Women in Iraq and Libya had a lot of freedom and now after western intervention, Islamic extremists have taken charge and they have are being forced to abide by strict Islamic dress codes. In Saudi Arabia, which is laughably an ally of the US in the war against terrorism, women have no rights and are forced to wear a burqa. Even in Turkey, creeping Islamism remains a threat.

The attacks in Cologne bear similarities to the attacks on US news correspondent Lara Logan in Tahrir Square in 2011. German police have reported that a practice called “Taharrush“, which involves hordes of men trapping and sexually assaulting women, is a problem in some Middle Eastern countries.

Watching the scenes in Germany of white women lined up at train stations greeting and waving at the refugees concerned me. Angela Merkel has openly said that she sees the refugees as integral to Germany’s economy and a solution to the population decline.

Nigel Farage has often said that “we must not let our compassion imperil our security” and he is correct.

Merkel appears to have sent the message to the Muslim world that indigenous German culture is deficient and as a result needs Muslims to keep the country afloat. The danger of such statements is that it presents German and European culture as being weak, and some Muslims, especially men, may never as a result respect German culture or German women, and conclude that the reason for the population decline is because Europeans need to know Islam.

Helping refugees is important, but one-size-fits all approaches cannot and should not be applied. Extra safeguards need to be taken in some circumstances, and sometimes difficult decisions taken, which although not politically correct act to preserve the integrity of European culture.

There are far more young male migrants than female and this was always going to pose serious risks to women – lots of young and frustrated men wandering around is an immense risk.

There are reports that some governmental agencies have hidden the extent of the attacks across Europe because of political correctness, and because they don’t want any news to be circulated that could spoil the narrative presented by EU elites and mainly leftist politicians.

European society is at a crossroads, and the ideals of EU elites are slowly being exposed as being utopian idealism which threaten the safety of ordinary Europeans. Multiculturalism is a failure – all cultures are not equal and should not be treated equally.

I doubt that EU elites know how to rectify the problems, and it’s likely that they will transform Europe into a police state and an unhappy and dangerous place.

European women face a very real danger from millions of men being imported into the continent who don’t respect them or their culture and view how they dress as making them fair game for rape and sexual assault.

Soon a time may come when white European women become refugees fleeing sexual oppression, rape and assault, and Islamism, and start choosing to move to Anglosphere countries, such as Australia, Britain, United States of America, and Canada for safety, and to escape Europe’s multicultural experiment and the utopian idealism of the elites.

This mess should pose as further evidence of why Britian should leave the European Union and untangle itself from the idealistic project, which is creating disharmony, danger and tensions across Europe.
