TCW Week in Review

Six of the best

Jane Kelly: The liberal sky falls in on Trump. But his heretical views are endorsed from Japan to Hungary

Belinda Brown: Young women lead a counter-revolution against feminist orthodoxies

Laura Perrins: The traitors are conservative men. They have left old-fashioned girls in the lurch

Chris McGovern: We need better teachers to close the performance gap with the rising economies of the east

Cerberus: Cameron has no intention of leading the campaign to quit Europe

David Keighley: You’re nicked! Climate change joker Letts has collar felt by BBC thought police

Reader’s Comment of the Week

In response to Kathy Gyngell: Dave’s legacy. The ruination of motherhood, James60498 wrote:

Excellent again. This really must be close to the best website I have found anywhere. Cameron, and his cronies, are truly the heirs to Blair and Mandelson. It was clear from the way the BBC fawned over him at the time of the leadership election that he couldn’t possibly be a conservative.

To take child benefit off families where one working parent earned just over the 40 per cent tax band because “we can’t afford it”, “we are all in this together”, and then to find this money for childcare is what I would have expected from the Labour Party paying homage to its Marxist allies.

TCW Hero of the Week

Who would have thought it. Caroline Lucas taking a stance that we at TCW can agree with. While Comrade Corbyn goes off to wine and dine his Trotskyite terrorist sympathisers at the Stop the War Coalition Christmas party, Green Party MP Caroline decided this week that their comments following the Paris attacks warranted her resignation from the group.

“Paris reaps whirlwind of western support for extremist violence in Middle East”, one headline read on their website. Such victim-blaming is truly abhorrent and strikes at the heart of everything that is wrong with the Left’s policy on ISIS.

TCW Villain of the Week

We all know Dave’s EU renegotiation is a sham and will amount to nothing. But how dare the Poles refuse his symbolic request for a four year benefits ban on all EU immigrants.

It seems Prime Minister Beata Szydlo is quite happy to see her citizens live off the taxes of another European country. Her words this week – that Poland and the UK did not “see eye to eye” on the matter – were stark. Of course, this could all just be part of the ploy – Dave and Beata have a bust up before reaching an agreement in an historic ‘victory’ for Britain. Nevertheless, the cheek of it.

Best of the rest

Rob Slane: The wheel turns full circle. Now we are living behind the Iron Curtain

Leslie Loftis: Americans carry guns to defend themselves against the State
