Reader’s Comment of the Week
In response to David Keighley’s BBC Watch: Today lauds a tyrant who nearly wiped out the planet, Bik Byro wrote:
“Typical circle of non-logic from lefties:
- want to support gay rights
- and love Castro
- who committed human rights abuses against gay people”
TCW Hero of the Week
Former Tory leader and social justice supremo Iain Duncan Smith led the backlash against smug Belgian Guy Verhofstadt who said Europe was “proud” of the Lib Dems’ Richmond by-election win. IDS told Verhofstadt to “mind his own bloody business” and that he assumes the Belgian “is prepared to stand by the result of the EU referendum” if he is suddenly such a fan of British democracy? Bravo IDS for saying what we all think.
TCW Villain of the Week
Smug new Lib Dem MP Sarah Olney swanned round a posh part of London with a smile defying physics after her Richmond by-election victory – proclaimed as a ‘mandate against Brexit’. Not likely, let’s wait and see what the Supreme Court says about her election – she didn’t even get half of the vote! We don’t know about you, dear readers, but we are holding out for a second by-election…
