Reader’s Comment of the Week
In response to Laura Perrins: Feminists should watch Dunkirk and thank men, James Chilton wrote:
“They died so you could make this hate-filled art.”
Not many men and women are alive today who served in the armed forces during the Second World War. I don’t know any. I’m not sure what they might say if you asked any of them whether the feminised society we have now, was worth the sacrifices they made.
TCW Hero of the Week
US President Donald Trump made it yet another week of headline dominating when he tweeted out a ban on transgender service personnel. Using the US Army as a virtue-signalling tool, amid reservations of commanding officers, is not a wise way to utilise the largest army in the world and this act reverses Barack Obama’s hasty, knee-jerk attempt to appear a cuddly Commander-in-Chief. As TCW’s Laura Perrins told CNN, the US President’s army is there to protect your life and liberty, not to be turned into another arm of the culture wars.
TCW Villain of the Week
Minister for Wimmin and Equalities Justine Greening must have taken the cries for the Government to get on and announce policies a bit too seriously, announcing this week that it will be far easier to change your gender. Honestly, aren’t things just complicated enough as they are already? With the books still to balance and a Brexit still to get on with, we think the Government has a lot better things to be doing than adding another box to tick on your birth certificate.
