TODAY’S nomination is the broadcaster Julia Hartley-Brewer. She is a woman after our heart at TCW – strong, clear, intelligent and a great conservative. She is also uncompromising about a clean Brexit. Here she was in January saying loud and clear the Prime Minister’s ‘deal’ is not Brexit.
In a sea of left-wing broadcasting, her Talk Radio no nonsense Breakfast Show 6.30am-10am Monday to Friday is a repository of sanity and common sense and the only consistent antidote to the congenitally and endemically biased BBC. She refuses to allow politicians on her programme call NO Deal Brexit ‘crashing out’. Clever, articulate and witty she’s Queen of the twitter put down. She never stops winding up the Left. Twitter is worth joining just to follow her.
To David Lammy’s excitable tweet about the Revoke Article 50 petition: ‘600,000 and counting. Keep going! Show @theresa_may what the public really wants’, @JuliaHB1 retorted: ‘Let me know when you hit 17,410,743 and then we’ll have something to talk about.’
While everyone else was expostulating about Treesa’s latest statement or worrying what three Remain witches’ (Letwin, Grieve, Hilary Benn) bubble, bubble, toil and trouble is brewing for us, @JuliaHB1spotted Leadsom and Bercow, Parliament’s ever warring couple, having an altercation. It gave her an idea and she tweeted it:
There is a really good TV sitcom to be made out of this relationship. Just need a good name for it. Thoughts? https://t.co/6uk5aaoglL

Names came rolling in and she ran a twitter poll to decide
I’m going to pitch Channel 4 with an idea for a new *hilarious* sitcom about two warring flat mates, Commons Speaker John Bercow & Leader of the House Andrea Leadsom. What should I call it?

‘Carry on up the Speaker’ had it. Oh for a gaggle of Julias to make Brexit happen and life more bearable.
