WE believe in Covid19, the all-deadly,
Destroyer of worlds;
And in Lockdowns, our saviour,
Which were conceived by the scientists
And enforced by Boris Johnson,
Who suffered in an ICU
Almost dead and buried.
On the third day he rose again
And shuffled off to Chequers.
He is seated at the right hand of Cummings.
A Second Wave will come
To judge the drinkers and the beach crowds.
I believe in ‘the Science’,
The Imperial College modelling,
The social distancing of the saints,
The wearing of masks,
The need for a vaccine,
And a life of new normal.
