I SAID recently that 2020 could go down as annus horribilis – and with the recent events in the US, it could prove to be so.
Not so much the ‘election win’ of the Democrats, but what occurred during and after the count. There were scores of stories regarding irregularities in the counts in key states and though the incumbent plans to fight against his supposed loss, it seems the Left will have their way.
After four years of complaining of everything, from Russian interference to tax-dodging and sexual impropriety, it appears that Republicans should just shut up and accept this decision.
I’ve seen the words ‘sore losers’ being bandied about by a Left that has spent years being just so. If the result of this election is allowed to stand, with no investigation into the claims of fraud, democracy in the West as we know it will be gone and this sort of meddling will be reciprocated the world over. Free and fair elections will mean nothing.
In this country we are once again in the grips of another lockdown, which is supposed to last until December 2, but will probably go on for longer.
Mandatory face masks will probably be in place until next summer at the least and a compliant country will again find itself on the sticky end of government policies that will do more damage to their lives than a virus which is going nowhere.
More businesses will go under, more lives will be ruined and more old people will be cut off from their families, left to die in an isolation they never asked for.
The advent of new parties to the mould will make not the slightest difference to the idiots at the top. Dan Hodges, in the Mail on Sunday, stated that the Government should be afraid at the return of Nigel Farage, who has turned his Brexit Party into the anti-lockdown Reform Party.
But we all know that when an election comes around the corner, the habitual public will vote for the party of anti-Semitism or the party of nationwide destruction.
It’s hard to feel optimism after such a difficult year. One which has seen this country turn into a soft totalitarian state and which has seen the American public robbed of their voices.
The establishment elite in both countries would like nationwide bouts of laryngitis; just shut up and let us get on with the destruction of our countries. Your voice means nothing, your complaints will fall on deaf ears. We are your rulers and you will follow, either willingly or by force.
What has happened both here and in America has shown us the true power of the Left. Not only can it rig elections, but it can cover them up. Not only can it frighten the public, it can control them too.
I have no idea how long it will take for the majority of our populations to wake up, come together and fight back. But the longer it takes, the more power the Left accrues and it could be too late for us.
