Our government, which art in disrepute,
Hollow be thy name.
Thy Kingdom split, thy Will be ignored,
by the Celts as well as the English.
Give us not your daily dread,
But pay heed to our protests
As we berate those who censor our voices.
Lead us not into a chilly Green future but deliver us free markets.
For thine is the tyrannical profligate infamy.
Forever and ever,
If there is a heaven-sent and precious silver lining to this black cloud of deceit that is the plague-narrative* it is my rediscovery of the wisdom of the Christian religion. So much of what I read in the Bible now rings true as never before. We have worshipped a false god in science, which has its place, but not as our master. We have been guided by capricious men instead of rock-solid tablet-engraved principles. It seems that I needed concrete examples to accompany the words in order to bring the lessons into the 21st century.
It’s good to poke fun at our tormentors, but also necessary to defend our spirits against the setbacks we see unfolding around us. So here is the original and the best, which has been waiting patiently in my mind since primary school to flower again when conditions were right:
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
