The Ten Commandments: 7. Do Not Commit Adultery

-

Moses comes down from the Mount and says: ‘I have good news and bad news. The good news is I got Him down to ten. The bad news is adultery stays.’ We all know why this is funny.

And we all know the commandment which Dennis Prager talks about here, yet people break it all the time. It’s not easy to keep but we must try.

This prohibition on adultery protects the family and it is the family, not the individual, upon which Western civilisation is built.

Resist temptation. Go home to your wife or husband. Keep the Seventh Commandment.
