The Ten Commandments revisited: 8. Do Not Steal

WE continue with Dennis Prager’s elucidation of the best moral code ever invented, a repeat of his masterful series on the Ten Commandments that we ran last year, with the eighth commandment, ‘Do not steal’.

It is not specific – it applies to all things and people. Just as it means you must not steal another human being for slavery, or steal their property, it means you must not steal a person’s reputation by spreading false rumours, or their dignity by humiliating them.
