HAS there been any other time in British history when we have had a Prime Minister who cannot be toppled?
Have we ever had a Prime Minister who writes her own requiem from Chequers, then remains in power? Sadly, that is my prediction for next week and longer on the basis of the past form of all those involved.
Yesterday an ill looking Theresa May, instead of resigning as she should, in another act of sheer hubris, went over the heads of her party and parliament and addressed the nation from Chequers – her ‘tied’ citadel – to defend her indefensible talks with Labour. Is she, we wonder, confusing her role with that of the head of state?
Let me explain what's happening with Brexit.pic.twitter.com/gjGkvFk8fT

Once more she threatened that ‘the choice that lies ahead of us is either leaving the European Union with a deal or not leaving at all’.
How long will the Conservative Party tolerate this increasingly dictatorial out-of-touch woman? This is no longer about Brexit but about accountability and the credibility of Britain’s democracy which she is fast eroding all confidence in. How long will it take for her party to tell her she has to go?
Here at TCW we have begun counting the days.
Today is Day Four . . .
