Today’s hot topic: Boris in woman trouble (again)

-

HOME Office minister Victoria Atkins has offered guidance to the Prime Minister on his ‘phrasing’ about women.

Boris Johnson has been accused of sexism in recent months after he called former prime minister David Cameron ‘a girly swot’ and accused the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn of being ‘a big girl’s blouse’.

Ms Atkins, the minister for women, said: ‘I suppose, at some point, when the Prime Minister is a little less busy, perhaps I should sit down with him, and have a cup of tea, and talk about some of his phrasing.’

During a crunch general election campaign, is it wise to castigate your leader for exactly what makes him colourful and fun? What does it say about Mrs Atkins, the humourless and patronising replacement for Amber Rudd?? Discuss!
