A SHORTAGE of fruit and vegetable pickers means that millions of apples are being left to rot in orchards, says the National Union of Farmers, and there are fears that supplies of broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbages, cauliflowers, kale and mushrooms will be affected. Naturally, uncertainty about Brexit is blamed.
We think the Prime Minister should call up a Brexit Land Army to demonstrate some British self-sufficiency. He could invite Extinction Rebellion and Caroline Lucas to put their eco-warrior credentials into action. Discuss!
