THIS Halloween evening groups of children, some very young, will be roaming the streets in the new tradition of Trick or Treat, an import from America whereby they ask householders for a treat, and if this is refused they impose a penalty.
Parents may either take the risk of their unaccompanied children getting into a dangerous or inappropriate situation, or accompany them and thereby endorse the activity. Of course they may refuse to let their children take part at all.
Harmless fun or juvenile demanding money with menaces? Discuss!
