THE Army is revising its guidelines so that male soldiers may wear make-up. A leaked list of regulations says that for males ‘Make-up is not to be worn’ while females may do so if ‘inconspicuous’. An Army spokesman said: ‘As an inclusive employer that recognises the diversity of its personnel, we are currently in the process of revising our guidance in this area to make it gender neutral.’
Another regulation states that male personnel are required to shave every day (including weekends). Presumably this will be extended to females in the interests of equality.
