THE government has announced plans to make photographic identification compulsory for voters. Those who do not have a driving licence or a passport may apply for a free ID document.

Jeremy Corbyn has denounced the move as an attempt to ‘suppress voters’ and ‘rig’ the next general election result.

Is it reasonable to require voters to produce ID at a polling station? Discuss!
