A JAPANESE department store is ‘rethinking’ a scheme for female staff to wear a badge showing when they were having their monthly period. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-50597405

The idea was that colleagues would be sympathetic and offer extra help or longer breaks. It did not seem to occur to the management that the badges would be visible to customers as well.

The Daimaru store in Osaka is not cancelling the policy but working out how to share the information without the public being in on it.
