GROUPS representing the NHS are warning that services may have to be cut unless NHS England receives an extra £10billion next year on top of the £140billion budget already planned.
The NHS Confederation and NHS Providers say the money is needed to cover pandemic-related costs and reduce the backlog in operations and treatments.
This raises the interesting question of how cuts can be made to a non-existent service?
