According to FairFuelUK, the Treasury has raked in an extra £1billion in VAT in the past year from drivers because of record prices at the pumps. The campaign says that British motorists are already the highest taxed in the world. The word is that fuel duty will be frozen in today’s Budget, but FairFuelUK believes that there should be a cut in view of the increaseS in National Insurance and energy prices, and the loss of the £20 Universal Credit uplift.
Do you agree? Should we be protesting against fuel prices? Where are our gilets jaunes?
