This is a comment by ‘John’ on Wednesday’s article ‘Johnson’s parting insult to democracy – making Carrie’s 30-year-old chum a Lord’.

How about taking the pressure off some of the more deprived parts of the country and locating asylum processing centres in some of the more affluent areas?

Places like Islington, Barnsbury, Notting Hill, Hampstead, Richmond come to mind. Even use the House of Commons or Lords where I’m sure they’ll receive a grand welcome.

I guarantee that the ‘migrant crisis’ will be sorted within a week.

Any public figure expressing encouragement to unrestrained illegal mass migration should be invited to host at least two illegal migrants in their own homes. The names of those who decline could be posted up on a specially created Twitter account called something like #Hypocritewatch.

Let’s see how the Bollinger Bolsheviks react to that.
