CORONAVIRUS hospital patients who show no new symptoms can be discharged into care homes without a further test, according to the latest government guidance.
This appears to be the first official acknowledgment that patients who have tested positive might nevertheless not be infectious.
However care home owners say they are ‘deeply worried’ about a repeat of last year, when similar government advice was followed by a major rise in infections.
Is this the right course of action? Or does it reflect, as Kathy tweeted yesterday, a hypocrisy and cruelty that knows no bounds?
