THE Government’s campaign of fear and psychological warfare against its own people has plumbed new depths this last week.
As TCW’s Laura Perrins noted, ‘We’ve reached the “it’s not me – it’s you” stage of our abusive relationship with the Johnson administration‘.
She warned: ‘This will be followed swiftly with further abusive and dehumanising diktats and laws when we will be told: “You made me do it” and that it is all our fault.
‘Do not underestimate the psychological attack the Johnson Regime is carrying out.’
Sceptics and dissenters found themselves high on the list of those being blamed for Covid deaths, Government hubris and incompetence and NHS failure.
The last few days have seen a relentless campaign from the Government that it is we, the public, who are responsible for the spread of the virus, should we even dare to leave our homes.
Here a ‘public information’ warning put out by the Government that is worthy of a science fiction movie.
In a nutshell, it tells us that if we step out of our front doors we are walking biohazards – underlined by Mad Matt Hancock later that day on the news.
Have ministers been reading too much science fiction? Do they any longer understand the difference between fact and fiction? Will they find they have cried wolf too many times should the country be faced with a real emergency rather than the present one of their own creation?
Discuss this or anything else on your mind.
