IT IS reported that care home residents will be allowed to have visits from one named relative or friend from March 8. Guests will be able to help with eating, dressing or washing, and will be allowed to hold hands, but hugs and kisses will be banned.
We find it impossible to understand the mentality that can construct such detailed and pointless rules. Has someone measured the distances involved? How can you help someone to dress without being close enough to hug them? It looks very much like another petty way of demonstrating the authorities’ power over ordinary people.
