THE Sun reports that the government is to give Covid home testing kits to firms with more than ten employees.
It quotes Health Secretary Matthew Hancock as saying: ‘Rapid testing is a vital part of our road map, helping us to cautiously lift restrictions on our economy and society.
‘Around one in three people with coronavirus do not have any symptoms, so extending employee testing from the workplace to the home will help us identify more cases we otherwise wouldn’t find, prevent further transmission and save lives.’
Given the proven inaccuracies of testing, is this a sensible use of taxpayers’ cash or will it simply lead to more people having time off work to ‘self-isolate’?
Feel free to discuss this or anything else on your mind.
